Theoretical Basis for our Successful Methodology

Implemented toward language learning by our team, each learning theory have distinct attributes that make the course structure and methodology up to the mark:

Behaviorism

This approach to language learning focuses on the idea that language is acquired through a process of habit formation, repetition, and reinforcement. This serves as the basis for the routine of exercises that help the student grow used to the new, second language it is learning.

Cognitivism

The cognitivist approach to language learning emphasizes the importance of mental processes in language acquisition, and learners must actively be engaged with the language in order to learn it.

That’s why we do challenging tests simulating real-life situations that take students out of their comfort zones.

Constructivism

We understand it is important for students to actively construct their own knowledge and understanding regarding the language they are learning (and how they are doing that).

Lenguae teachers are always encouraging students to be active and participate in the learning process, acting more as facilitators rather than only knowledge transmitters.

The Best Teaching Strategies

The correct implementation of teaching strategies secure an elaborate and coherent course methodology. This is what the team of experts linguists at Lenguae aspires to do by the following steps:

Communicative Approach:

With focus on communication, this approach caters to the primary goal of language learning. It emphasizes interactive activities that simulate real-life communication situations, such as role-playing, discussions, and problem-solving tasks.

Task-based Learning:

We make the students complete real-world tasks in the target language, rather than on language forms and tests. Learners are given a task to complete, such as making a reservation or ordering food, and must use the target language to complete it.

Content-based Instruction:

It is teaching language through the study of subject matter content, such as science or social studies. Students are encouraged to engage with content produced in the target language, developing their language skills through the study of meaningful, relevant topics and useful terminologies.

Grammar-translation Method:

Part of our methodology focuses on the study of grammar rules and the translation of texts from the target language into native language and vice-versa. A more traditional approach, it is often used in formal settings such as academic and business environments.
